Infrastructural measures in road construction ask for individual concepts to reduce conflicts with legally required species protection. BioConsult SH has carried out faunistic studies and compiled reports for numerous road construction projects. Sections of the B 76, BAB 7, B 5 and B 207 in Schleswig-Holstein are only some examples.
Currently, BioConsult SH was involved in designing the study concept, carrying out the required surveys and preparing the respective faunistic reports for the eight-lane development of a section of the BAB 1 south of Hamburg and the planned route for the construction of the B 189n between Mirow and Wittstock/Dosse in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
All relevant species groups (birds, bat, mammals, amphibians, selected beetle, butterfly, dragonfly and gastropod species as well as fish) were investigated.
