Diversity means variety of people and ways of life. Diversity aims at the recognition and appreciation of all people, regardless of their social, ethnic, etc. origin, their gender, their sexual orientation, their religious affiliation or world view, their age, their physical or mental abilities or other characteristics.

This applies to all behaviour, including verbal and non-verbal remarks and innuendos that constitute offence.

Any employee who is subjected to harassment, bullying, assault, violence or discrimination is encouraged to contact management, a trusted employee or a project group leader immediately. All employees have a responsibility to guard against any form of discrimination and to avoid any action contrary to the spirit of this policy. Therefore, employees at all levels must ensure that their decisions and behaviour are non-discriminatory.

We would like to point out that coercion (e.g., threat of a serious evil, such as the threat of violence, etc.) is also a punishable offence from a legal point of view. Disregard for this culture will result in disciplinary action and, at a minimum, will result in release from the site/job/project while the investigation continues and dismissal if necessary.
