Code of conduct

BioConsult SH is a team of natural scientists and was founded in 1998 as an independent ecological research and consulting firm. We compile expert environmental reports, principle protection concepts and feasibility studies on the basis of sound research with the aim to help resolve conflicts between man and nature. We want to continue to live and promote respectful cooperation and the conscious assumption of responsibility in our everyday work. We are committed to the principles of the United Nations Global Compact.

Integritity

BioConsult SH examines enquiries and tenders independently of the type and orientation of the client. The widest possible range of clients from politics, business, institutions and associations ensures neutrality and credibility. We do not accept gifts and are not influenced by donations of any kind. We sensitise our employees and our superiors to take their function as role models seriously. We oppose corruption in all forms, including extortion and bribery. We treat company and business secrets confidentially. All employees are subject to confidentiality.

Compliance

Compliance with the law in our business activities is a matter of course for us. Compliance with laws and regulations is an essential basic principle of economically responsible action for us.

Employees: gender equality, inclusion, social interaction

Employee management is collegial, in a friendly atmosphere and in open communication across all work levels. A good working atmosphere and a high level of employee motivation are fundamental aspects of employee management for BioConsult SH and for the success of the company.

Equality of people, regardless of their sexual identity, religion or other characteristics, is important to us. Attention is paid to equal rights for people in hiring, salaries and employee promotion. BioConsult SH explicitly supports the compatibility of work and family and allows this flexibility at all levels.

Human rights, labour and social standards

We are committed to the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We expect that our suppliers and business partners also share these values and commit to their observance. We respect the human rights, personal rights and dignity of our employees and all third parties. We respect the rights to freedom of association and collective bargaining in accordance with applicable law and regulations. We condemn forced labour, child labour, all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking and all forms of exploitation.

Data Privacy

The protection of personal data is of particular concern to us. We therefore process personal data on the basis of the statutory provisions (General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG)).
