Since summer 2026, the business unit wildlife monitoring by aerosense has been part of BioConsult SH. Using thermal infrared technology and high-resolution visual cameras, wildlife monitoring has been surveying wildlife from the air for many years.

“With BioConsult SH, I have found the ideal partner to continue and further advance the development of aircraft-based wildlife surveys that I started twenty years ago,” says Ulrich Franke, Managing Director of aerosense. “BioConsult SH combines high scientific standards with extensive expertise in camera-based aerial surveys and AI-assisted data analysis. Our company values and cultures are also an excellent fit.”

Anna Kersten, Project Manager Wildlife Monitoring at BioConsult SH, adds: “With Ulrich Franke and wildlife monitoring by aerosense, we are gaining a fantastic partner whose specialist expertise allows us to expand our services into terrestrial wildlife monitoring. Accurate wildlife surveys are becoming increasingly important for the conservation and management of wildlife populations across Europe, and we look forward to jointly developing and applying innovative methods for effective population surveys.”

This new collaboration brings together the long-standing experience of wildlife monitoring by aerosense with our expertise in remote sensing and aerial survey methods.

We look forward to the projects and challenges ahead!
