Ecological research projects have been a key focus of our work since BioConsult SH was founded. We are delighted to be able to carry out a doctoral project within the EU WildBotics network over the next few years.

The project will improve our understanding of the potential impact of continuous anthropogenic noise on harbour porpoises by using new AI and robotics technologies such as autonomous underwater vehicle systems (AUVs).

Through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), the European Union aims to promote the international and interdisciplinary careers of scientists in various PhD networks.

Recently, the kick-off meeting for the WildBotics MSCA Doctoral Network took place in Trento. The participants presented their respective areas of work, exchanged research ideas and discussed the next steps.

The kick-off meeting marked the beginning of an exciting journey that will continue until 2029. We are looking forward to closely collaborating with WildBotics and to implementing a new project!
