CWW – Conference on wind energy and wildlife impacts 2025

Husum,

This year, BioConsult SH again took part in the CWW (Conference on Wind Energy and Wildlife Impacts).

Ten of our colleagues participated in Montpellier this year. They presented the results and methods of our current work in posters, lectures and discussion rounds.

This included studies on the behaviour of seabirds at offshore wind turbines and the possible habituation of divers to offshore wind farms. The AVES system for the automatic identification of birds to prevent collisions at wind turbines was also presented in a dedicated workshop. The technology and how it works was presented at a stand run by ProTecBird

The CWW brings together researchers, experts from the wind industry and representatives of non-governmental organisations from all over the world to exchange ideas on environmentally friendly further development and the current state of science in wind energy.

This year's conference was co-organised by our partner Biotope. We are pleased that we were able to participate in this conference together with our partners from Alliance for Nature and had the opportunity for various professional and personal discussions.
